  Ben Foster saved penalty from  helped put Birmingham City on their way to a 2-1 home victory over Blackburn Rovers.
Blues keeper Foster denied Pedersen from the penalty with an impressive save on 50 minutes. The penalty was judged  after Nikola Zigic had fouled Chris Samba in the box.
But Blackburn finally took the lead as Steven N'Zonzi diverted home a near-post header from a Pedersen corner on 54 minutes.

The new member of Premiership Blackpool, who won 4-0 at Wigan on the first round of the EPL, started well but Walcott scored in 13 min. and Arsenal goes ahead. Ian Evatt was shown red card for a foul that appeared to be outside the area, Andrey Arshavin scoring the penalty, before Walcott make his second on 39 minutes. Abou Diaby clipped home, Walcott curled in and Marouane Chamakh headed a sixth. This is a first hat-trick for Theo Walcot.
